KEY TAKEAWAYS
The jersey comes free
The Cronulla Sharks are looking for a new premier major partner. Aramex's six seasons on the front of the club's NRL first-grade jersey end on 31 October, the club announced, making it the second-longest major partnership in the Sharks' history.[1] No replacement has been named.[4]
Aramex first signed in January 2021 for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, with its logo on the front of the jersey, coaching apparel, the mascot and televised signage.[3] In 2022 it renewed for three more years to the end of 2025, with Aramex Oceania chief executive Peter Lipinski describing it as "a long-term view".[2] The partnership ran for one further season in 2026.[1]
Who ended it is unclear
The club's statement does not say which side ended the deal. B&T reported that Aramex decided not to renew,[4] but Aramex's own words suggest otherwise. "While disappointed our official partnership will not continue next season, our affection for the team and its community remains as strong as ever," said Mark Little, Aramex's Oceania regional director. "It has been an extraordinary privilege to feature on the jersey."[1]
"We have shared many lasting memories with Aramex, and they will always be a part of our club's history and story," said Sharks chief executive Dino Mezzatesta.[1]
What the next sponsor gets
Aramex's deal reached beyond the men's shirt. It was front-of-jersey sponsor for the Sharks' NRLW team in its first season, backed junior rugby league in the Sutherland Shire for several years, and raised and donated $150,000 to the mental health charity Find Ya Feet.[1]
The club can also point to results. The Sharks made the finals in five of the six seasons Aramex was on the jersey, finished second on the ladder in 2022 and reached preliminary finals in 2024 and 2025.[1]
