Write for us

We publish reported stories and argued columns from people who work in marketing, media, advertising, AI, technology and finance. If you have something new, checked and useful, we want it.

What gets published

Newsworthy. Something happened, changed or was discovered. Tell us why it matters this month, not in general.
Researched. At least three named, linkable sources. Data over adjectives. Quotes must be real and attributable.
Adds value. A reader who works in the market should know or be able to do something they couldn't before.
Opinion is welcome if it argues a position, is signed, and engages with the strongest counter-case.
Declared. Every conflict of interest and commercial arrangement connected to the piece is disclosed to us before publication and published where relevant.

What doesn't

Listicles, "top 10s", round-ups, tool lists.
Anything that reads as a product pitch, a company profile written by the company, or a case study without numbers.
Recycled takes on last week's news with nothing new.
Undisclosed AI-drafted copy. AI-assisted is fine; say so and stand behind every line.

How it works

Send a pitch or a full draft below. The form checks the basics before it lets you submit.
An editor replies within five working days. Yes, no, or "yes if".
Accepted pieces are edited, fact-checked and published under your name with your LinkedIn profile linked.

Declarations

We publish declarations at the foot of the article where they are relevant. A declared interest rarely stops a piece running; an undeclared one always does.

Conflicts of interest Any employer, client, investment, board seat, family or personal relationship connected to a company, person or product named in the piece. Write "None" if there are none. Commercial arrangements Payment, sponsorship, affiliate links, free products, travel or anything else of value you have received, or expect to receive, related to this piece or its subject. Write "None" if there are none. Prior publication Has any part of this appeared elsewhere, including your own blog, LinkedIn or a client's site? Where and when, or "Nowhere".

Confirm This is original, unpublished, and I hold the rights. Every fact, figure and quote can be verified from the sources listed. My declarations above are complete and accurate, and I will tell the editor if they change before publication. If I have attached a headshot, I own it or have the photographer's permission, and I grant Prompt the Market a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it alongside my byline, on my author page and in promotion of my articles, for as long as the article is published. I can ask for it to be removed at any time by emailing the editor. See the contributor terms. AI tools helped draft or edit this. (Tick if so. It's fine; we'll note it.)

We reply to every submission.
