Contributor terms
These terms apply to anyone who submits writing, images or other material to Prompt the Market through the Write for us form or by email.
Your work
You keep copyright in what you write. By submitting, you grant Prompt the Market a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to edit, publish, promote and archive the piece on our website, newsletters, social channels and syndication partners, and to keep it published after you stop contributing. You may republish it elsewhere 14 days after we publish it, with a link back to the original.
Your headshot and bio
If you send a headshot, you confirm you own it or have the photographer's permission to license it. You grant Prompt the Market a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it with your byline, on your author page, in the article's structured data and in promotion of your articles, for as long as your articles are published. We will not use it for anything else, sell it, or pass it to third parties beyond the services that host and deliver the site. You can ask us to remove or replace it at any time by emailing the editor; we will do so within five working days, though cached copies on social platforms may persist.
Declarations
You must tell us, before publication, about any conflict of interest or commercial arrangement connected to the piece: employers, clients, investments, board seats, personal relationships, payments, sponsorships, affiliate links, free products or travel. We publish declarations at the foot of the article where they are relevant to the reader. A declared interest rarely stops a piece running; a material undeclared interest discovered after publication will result in a correction or removal and the end of the contributor relationship.
Editing and standards
We edit for accuracy, length, clarity and house style, and fact-check claims against the sources you supply. We do not publish listicles, product pitches or unsupported claims. You will see edits before publication where practicable. Our editorial standards and approach to AI apply to contributed pieces.
Privacy
Your contact details are used to communicate about your submission and, if published, to maintain your author page. See the privacy policy.
