TLDR

Omnicom grew organic revenue 7.2% in the third quarter, its first full Q3 since buying IPG, and says it is on track for US$900 million in cost savings from the deal this year. Asia Pacific brought in US$573.1 million. Omnicom gave no regional growth rate or headcount figure.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

01Core operations revenue was US$6.0 billion, up 7.2% organically; total revenue was US$6.42 billion.

02Adjusted diluted earnings per share rose 21.9% to US$2.73, and net income was US$656.0 million.

03John Wren says Omnicom is on track for US$900 million in cost-reduction synergies in 2026.

04The quarter carried US$84.7 million in repositioning charges, mostly property and exit costs tied to IPG.

05Asia Pacific revenue was US$573.1 million, 9.6% of core operations.

## The quarter

Omnicom reported third-quarter revenue of US$6.42 billion on 22 October. Revenue from its core operations, which excludes businesses it has sold or plans to sell, was US$6.0 billion, up 7.2% on an organic basis.[\[1\]](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0000029989/000002998926000024/a2026q3earningsrelease.htm?ref=promptthemarket.com) It is the first third quarter Omnicom has reported with the former IPG agencies inside the group.[\[2\]](https://www.bandt.com.au/omnicom-reports-7-2-organic-growth-with-healthy-pitch-activity-as-holdco-looks-beyond-household-names/?ref=promptthemarket.com)

Net income attributable to Omnicom was US$656.0 million. Adjusted diluted earnings per share rose 21.9% to US$2.73, and adjusted EBITA for core operations was US$1.1 billion, a margin of 18.2%.[\[1\]](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0000029989/000002998926000024/a2026q3earningsrelease.htm?ref=promptthemarket.com)

## The cost of the merger

Chief executive John Wren said Omnicom is "on track to deliver $900 million in cost-reduction synergies in 2026". He described the business as having its "integration nearly complete and our portfolio of companies and operations streamlined", and said: "We'll continue investing in our people and agentic technology."[\[1\]](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0000029989/000002998926000024/a2026q3earningsrelease.htm?ref=promptthemarket.com)

The quarter carried US$84.7 million in repositioning charges, mostly property and other exit costs tied to the IPG acquisition, plus US$40.4 million in integration and transaction costs.[\[1\]](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0000029989/000002998926000024/a2026q3earningsrelease.htm?ref=promptthemarket.com) In February, Omnicom said it planned to sell about US$2.5 billion of revenue in businesses it called non-strategic or underperforming. About US$800 million had already gone, including the experiential agency Jack Morton.[\[3\]](https://www.mediapost.com/publications/article/412912/omnicom-to-sell-25-billion-in-non-strategic-an.html?ref=promptthemarket.com)

## What it means in Australia

Omnicom does not break out Australian results. Asia Pacific brought in US$573.1 million, or 9.6% of core operations revenue, and the release gives no organic growth rate for the region and no headcount figure.[\[1\]](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0000029989/000002998926000024/a2026q3earningsrelease.htm?ref=promptthemarket.com)

Wren said the pitch market was "pretty healthy" and that Omnicom was "winning more than our fair share". B&T noted OMD's win of Qantas and Jetstar media across Asia Pacific.[\[2\]](https://www.bandt.com.au/omnicom-reports-7-2-organic-growth-with-healthy-pitch-activity-as-holdco-looks-beyond-household-names/?ref=promptthemarket.com) The same week, Omnicom was reported to be out of Aldi's global creative review, after Aldi UK's relationship with McCann Manchester ended.[\[4\]](https://www.bandt.com.au/report-omnicom-out-of-aldi-global-creative-pitch/?ref=promptthemarket.com)

For Australian clients and staff at OMD, UM and McCann, the result describes a group that is growing again while it keeps cutting: a 7.2% organic rise, property exit charges and a US$900 million savings target sit side by side in the same release.
